History

The FREY & CO GmbH was founded in Lenggries in the year 1989 , to develop and build adaptors and tools for the powder metallurgy.

Due to the owners long experience in the field of the powder metallurgy, the development and the construction of machines and installations for the isostatic pressing method was started in 1991. Meanwhile FREY & CO GmbH employs 18 members of staff, predominantly in construction, manufacturing and assembly.

The machines and installations are developed and constructed for various fields of application:

• for the dental industry
  to produce implants and tooth bridges of zirconium oxide (ZrO2)

• for the medical technology
  to produce knee joints and ankle joints
  
  
• for suppliers of the automotive industry
  to produce gear wheels, oil pump gears or clutch parts made of iron powder
  
  
• for the electronic industry
  to produce electronic modules, substrates and magnetic cores

as well as for many other fields of application.

A substantial attention is put on the innovative development. For this we co-operate also with universities and research centres, in order to develop new procedures as for example short-time sintering.

By close co-operation with our customers, machines for the economic production of pressed parts are made possible.

Our machines work worldwide and are maintained by an excellent service team. The export ratio is between 70% and 80%.
