Isostatic presses

Servo Pump Drive

The servo pump drive combines the benefits of the hydraulic press with those of the electric press.

General

The servo pump drive combines the benefits of the hydraulic press with those of the electric press. Rather than being stored in a tank and supplied to the consumer through long lines and various valves, the required hydraulic oil is transported directly from one side of the piston to the other by servo motors.

Characteristics
  • Pressing forces and programming as usual
  • High forces possible through hydraulic cylinders
  • Up to 60% energy savings compared to conventional hydraulics
  • Minimum space required due to elimination of the typical hydraulic unit
  • Quieter than conventional hydraulic presses, noise emissions comparable to spindle drives
  • Easy to maintain
  • Low operating costs, little oil and no cooling water required
